Brand Skillings has supported Caister Lifeboat on a charitable basis for a number of years, helping the independent service communicate its vital work to the public and supporters.

Caister Lifeboat is one of the UK’s few remaining independent lifeboat stations, operating a 24/7 rescue service along the Norfolk coast. Working closely with the crew, we designed and built a new website to better reflect the professionalism, heritage and immediacy of their operations.

A key requirement was ensuring the site could be updated quickly following a “shout” (rescue). We developed a clear, flexible structure and provided hands-on training, enabling the team to upload updates, imagery and reports in real time - keeping the public informed and engaged with their work.

The website combines robust, user-friendly functionality with a straightforward, accessible design, ensuring that information is easy to find across devices. It also supports fundraising and awareness, both essential to sustaining an independent lifeboat service.

The result is a practical, reliable platform that reflects the dedication of the crew and helps Caister Lifeboat maintain a strong connection with its community.
